LEVL 3 iPET NETWORK Award in Introduction to Cat Grooming

This qualification is for students who would like to gain the skills and knowledge to prepare, style and finish several cat breeds and to understand health and safety in a grooming salon. The course is delivered over a minimum of 5 day practical training with additional theory to complete at home.

Students will be trained in practical skills, prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping, styling and claw cutting on various breeds. Topics covered in this qualification are Health & Safety in a Cat Grooming Environment and Feline Handling, Health & welfare as well as one assessment on either a short or long haired cat.

LEVEL 3 iPET NETWORK Certificate in Cat Grooming & an introduction to styling

​

This qualification is designed for candidates who wish to gain the skills and knowledge to prepare, style and finish a selection of cat breeds, understand health & safety in the salon and gain an understanding of health checking, handling techniques and feline behaviour. The course is delivered over a minimum  of 10 days practical with 2 days of theory plus additional theory to be completed at home.

This qualification will demonstrate to an employer or the general public that you understand the core principles of Cat Grooming and have been introduced to various styling techniques. You will graduate with a foundation of knowledge base to continue learning or working in the Cat Grooming Industry. there are 4 assignments to include Health & Safety in a cat grooming environment, promote the welfare of cats conforming with relevant legislation, asses and plan cat grooming styles & maintenance of equipment, feline welfare & health  checking and 2 assessments of a long or short coat and a lion cut.

LEVEL3 iPET NETWORK Diploma in Cat Grooming & Salon Managemnt.

​

This is a 25 day course designed for candidates who wish to gain the skills and knowledge to prepare, style and finish a range of cat breeds, understand health & safety, practice business management and gain skills in feline emergency first aid. The course is delivered over a minimum of 25 days practical training with additional theory work to be completed at home.

Candidates will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping, styling and nail trimming on a variety of cat breeds.

There will be 3 practical assessments on a lion trim, long haired and short haired cat.
